THE FABULOUS LIFE OF MARK ZUCKERBERG - CEO OF FACEBOOK
Mark Zuckerberg was born on May 14, 1984, in White Plains, New York. He grew up with his three siblings in the nearby town, Dobbs Ferry. At the age of 12, Zuckerberg used Atari Basic to create a messaging programme his dad used in his dental office.
Zuckerberg enrolled in Harvard University in 2002, where he quickly became known for his developer skills. After his sophomore year, he decided to drop out and focus on 'The Facebook', which he had been running out of his dormroom.
By the end of 2005, Facebook had surpassed 5.5 million users and received $12.7 million from Accel Ventures.
He took Facebook public on May 18, 2012. The IPO raised $16 billion almost instantly, making it the biggest tech IPO in history.
Another sign of Zuckerberg having made it is the fact he received a $1 salary in 2013. (Not including the $653,164 for "other compensation," most of which covered bills for private chartered jets.)
Also, he was the most charitable philanthropist in 2013, having donated half a billion dollars worth of Facebook stock to the Silicon Valley Community Foundation. He has also donated a lot of money to Newark, New Jersey's public school system and his non-profit Internet.org.
Earlier this week, Facebook crushed its second quarter earnings and its stock hit an all-time high — which really just means Mark Zuckerberg is one step closer to being the richest man in the world.
Zuckerberg's current net worth is about $33.1 billion, putting him at No. 16 in Forbes's ranking of the world's billionaires. More impressively, he is one of just three people who currently have more billions under their belt than years lived.

SMART WATCHES TO RULE OUR WRIST!!
LG G watch (left) and Samsung gear live (right) |
Android wear does two things, it moves app notifications to the watch’s face, and it puts Google Now’s voice-powered search capabilities on your wrist.
Both runs on the same platform and more or less same software. Using these watches one can check calendar, set remainders, set timers, send emails, Google search and even get map directions. Also can dictate a note and that will show up in Google Keep. Both watches need to charge every day, just like phone. And that means cradling it, neither watch can power up directly from a USB cable.
The Samsung Gear Live costs $200, got a better-looking body, it’s more comfortable, and has a better display to boot. It can detect your heart rate on command, the LG cannot. The Samsung watch is the clear winner on overall build quality. It has a slightly curved backside, and the band connection is angled, both of which means that it rests more comfortably on your wrists than the LG. Its screen is brighter than LG.
Besides all its pros and cons they are pretty amazing and are the first truly useful smart watches to hit the market.

MOJAVE DESSERT - Largest Solar Plant
The Mojave Desert is blooming.
Construction crews are erecting mirrors, each measuring 70 square feet at a rate of 500 per day across some 3,500 acres.
The project has a partnership of NRG, BrightSource, Google and Bechtel.
Unlike photovoltaic technology, which converts solar radiation directly into electricity, the Ivanpah facility generates heat. More than 170,000 mirrors will gather tremendous amounts of sunlight and focus it on three towers filled with water, raising temperatures to more than 1,000 degrees Fahrenheit and producing steam that spins turbines that generate electricity. The Bechtel corporation, says that using sunlight instead of fossil fuels to power the turbines will reduce carbon emissions by more than 400,000 tons annually.
The world's largest solar thermal is now comprises the GOOGLE logo which is spell out in heliostats(mirrors reflect sunlight onto a central receiving point).
